Hello All,
Let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Clint, and this blog has been created as a way for me to give back to the community as my mentors had given to me.
If you have knowledge, let others light their candles at it – Margaret Fuller
I’m going to try to keep this blog as simple and down to earth as possible (I work all day so Id prefer not to come home and write more technical reports) and as you get to know me you will understand I speak quite frank. So with that said here are a few of my thoughts on the Lean / Sigma world.
As I work as a consultant I probably shouldn’t be saying this to loud, but for the majority of small to medium size businesses there is no need for a “Black-Belt” consultant to come to your business and do a series of expensive analysis to tell you how to improve your business. Lean and Sigma are a fantastic set of tools and methodologies that when implemented together, really will make a huge difference to your bottom line. The reason they compliment each other so well is because Sigma focuses on what your doing right while Lean is focusing on what your doing wrong. While individually they’ll eventually bring you around to the same point… its much more efficient to use them both in harmony with each other.
And I suppose in a nutshell that’s what this blogs all about, giving you all my thoughts and experience to help you implement some of these changes yourself.
